World Views -- Why Do We Think the Way We Do?
Facilitators: Joy Goff and Sharon Sebring
In an ever-changing world, we each are born into a tradition,
a culture, or a community that shape our perspective of the
world and enable us to function. We reach our views in a variety
of ways. We will discuss some of the experiences that have
formed our personal perspectives. Those with whom we strongly
disagree have a world view that is valid for them. How can we
grow in understanding and move toward bridging the gap between
us and them? We will explore ways to do this.
Joy Goff is a founding member of MAGNT whose world view
was greatly expanded by working internationally for a
large corporation. She is a student of life who has
looked deeply into spiritual traditions to create a path
for living joyfully.
Sharon Sebring has been presenting programs on
body-mind-spirit for 30 years. Her world view has been
influenced by the 12 Steps and a spiritual path that
includes both eastern and western traditions. She is a
Life Coach and a graduate of the National speakers
Association.
MAGNT, the Minnesota chapter of the Association for Global New
Thought, offers activities to expand consciousness. Its purpose
is to inspire, inform and empower people to create an awakened
world. MAGNT is supported by local Unity and Religious Science
churches.
There is no admission fee for this or other MAGNT
programs unless specified. Donations are welcome. No
need to pre-register. Just come and be warmly included.
Come to learn, to ask questions, and to engage in
spirited conversation with the group.
We look forward to seeing you.
