MAGNT Meeting Saturday, February 14, 2009 10 AM to noon
Unity South Church 7950 First Ave. So. Bloomington, 55420
Topic: Quo...? Whither...? When...? The Mayan calendar, according to which a MAJOR cycle of the human story culminates in 2012, is currently attracting interest all over the world. How seriously should we take this calendar? How does it work? What does it mean for us?
Nor is the Mayan calendar the only predictive system that envisions major change directly ahead. Astrologers all over the planet have, for some time, been pondering the possible meanings of a very dramatic pattern involving the planets Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto that began activating on election day, November 4, 2008 and culminates in March of 2015.
Clearly, something is stirring in the Big Psyche. But what? Do we need to traverse the valley of the shadow of death before we can enter a new land -- the land long foreseen by shamans and prophets the world over? Some say we are headed for planetary challenges that threaten our very existence -- greater than global warming from human contributions. For example, the caldera crater in Yellowstone Park, which erupts every 60,000 years, is showing increased activity and is past due its time frame. Another concern is the probable high sun energy during the summer of 2012 -- the highest estimated in 5,000 years. Or are we perhaps looking at an asteroid collision, which occurs every 65 million years, and, is also overdue? How searing will the fire of transmutation need to be before our lead can become gold?
Come and be part of a lively conversation about 2012 and the next chapter in the Big Book. There will be time for you to share your hopes, your fears, and your dreams. William Schmidt and Ira Gordon will co-facilitate this exploration.
Saturday MAGNT meetings are free and open to the public. No need to pre-register. Just come and be warmly included. MAGNT, the Minnesota chapter of the Association for Global New Thought, offers activities to expand consciousness. Its purpose is to inspire, inform and empower people to create an awakened world. MAGNT is supported by local Unity and Religious Science churches.
Come to learn, to ask questions, and to engage in spirited conversation with the group. We look forward to seeing you.
