MAGNT Meeting Saturday, December 9, 2006 10 AM to noon
Unity South Church 7950 First Ave. So. Bloomington, 55420
Dancing to a Different Drum
This MAGNT meeting is about drums, movement, and tapping into the beat of life. Using drumming exercises and simple movement, we will explore some of the subtle and not subtle mechanisms that interfere with our ability to be fully present to an 'other' whether that be a romantic partner, an employee, the devotee of a competing political philosophy, a cat, or an unclaimed part of ourselves.
On the lighter side, we will allow ourselves to be drawn into the rhythm, the vibration, and the pleasure of collective drumming. Experiential and active. Bring a drum if you have one, or something else that you can create a vibration on. Wear comfortable clothing.
Saturday MAGNT meetings are free and open to the public. No need to pre-register. Just come and be warmly included. MAGNT, the Minnesota chapter of the Association for Global New Thought, offers activities to expand consciousness. Its purpose is to inspire, inform and empower people to create an awakened world. MAGNT is supported by local Unity and Religious Science churches.
Come to learn, to ask questions, and to engage in spirited conversation with the group. We look forward to seeing you.
